Title:                      Head of IT Systems & Operations


Reporting to:     IT Director


Basic purpose: The Head of IT Systems & Operations /Application Administration/ is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and maintenance of the implemented Banking IT systems and applications. These include the Basic Banking Information System, Electronic Channels, and Operational and Regulatory Reporting. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Architectural Model of the system is appropriate and up to date.

Mainresponsibilities:

​

  • Oversees the development and management of the strategic banking IT systems and applications, while participating in the implementation of the Bank's IT budget and business plan;

  • Manages a team of professionals, supervising the implementation of the respective IT operations under the required methodologies and technologies of the implemented IT systems and applications, ensuring strict adherence to the "IT Change Management Procedure";

  • Ensures that the IT systems and applications are licensed and available, and is responsible for maintaining an up-to-date and documented architectural model of the IT systems and applications;

  • As part of the IT service in the bank, responsible for managing the Catalogue of IT Services to ensure compliance with established key performance indicators;

  • Provides monitoring of key IT system components to optimize performance;

  • Responsible for monitoring and preventing registered IT incidents through the implementation of measures that address their causes;

  • In charge of managing any unauthorized access to IT systems and applications following the Access Management Policy of the Bank, ensuring administrative access to the databases operated in the Bank and the IT facilities used for the installation and operation of databases: operating systems, interfaces, and applications;

  • Ensures the protection, storage, and consistency of IT systems and applications through the approved reservation measures outlined in the "Reservation and Backup Policy" and the Management Plan during Crises and Accidents of the "Accident and Crisis Management Procedure”;

  • Manages the relationships with IT suppliers and external vendors.

Candidate’s Profile

​

 

General requirements:


  • University  degree  in  IT, Computer Science, or  a closely related field;

  • 3 + years of experience   in   a   relevant   role   within   a   multinational   environment, and experience at a banking, professional service, or financial  institution is an advantage;

  • Understanding of the core banking business processes and SWIFT, Payment systems is required;

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Operating Systems, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office,

  •  web services interfaces, API, and awareness of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Database is needed;

  • Potential for and/or people management capabilities and experience are needed;

  • Balanced and thoughtful approach with the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities;

  • Critical and analytical thinking, accompanied by a problem-solving attitude;

  • Good communication skills, accompanied by a working level of English.
