​Title:                      Trade Finance Senior Expert and Advisory


Reporting to   Trade Finance Director


Basic PurposeThe senior expert in trade finance advises and maintains relationships with both existing and potential clients, as well as collaborates with internal sales teams, departments, and external institutions to consult on the use and processing of bank guarantees, letters of credit, and documentary collections. The senior professional is responsible for accurately processing and issuing bank guarantees, letters of credit, and documentary collections.

Main responsibilities:

​​

  • In charge of advising, issuing, and accounting for bank guarantees, letters of credit, and documentary collections, which includes collaborating with clients, internal departments, and external institutions to obtain relevant information and details necessary for carrying out main activities;

  • Responsible for the text preparation of bank guarantees, and letters of credit, and handling of documentation and correspondence on issued and received bank guarantees under SWIFT, letter of credit and collections;

  • Responsible for verifying early release bank guarantees’ correspondence, processing claims and fee payments to correspondent banks in the accounting system;

  • Monitors the maturity of payments on letters of credit, reviews documents on issued and received letters of credit and avisoes, and processes payments on letters of credit in the accounting system and SWIFT;

  • Ensures processing of documentary collections, including payments in the accounting system and SWIFT.

                                                         Candidate’s Profile

​

​

General requirements:


  • University  degree  in International Trade, Banking, Finance, Economics, or  a closely related field;

  • 3 + years of experience   in   a   relevant   role   within   a   multinational   environment, and experience at a banking, professional service, or financial  institution is an advantage;

  • Understanding of the international trade payment methods, core banking business processes and SWIFT, Payment systems is required;

  • Awareness of accounting and financial legislations, trade finance legal framework and intrabank regulations and tariffs is needed;

  • Balanced and thoughtful approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities;

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude towards clients and stakeholders;

  • Fluent in English – verbal and written.
